Prevost 100th-Year Anniversary Rally: Exclusive Tour Collection

As part of Prevost’s 100th-year anniversary rally, happening September 9–14 in Quebec, we are pleased to provide to our registered rally particpants the following exclusive collection of tours and excursions! 

All tours on this page are free of charge to registered rally participants and their families and guests.  However, space is limited for each tour.  So, please review the options below and register for the tours in which you would like to participate.

Prevost 100th Anniversary Celebration at Sainte-Claire

Availability: Saturday, September 14th

Join us on Saturday, September 14th for this special invitation-only celebration at the Prevost Factory in Sainte-Claire.  Register to reserve your space for this exclusive event.

Buses will provide round-trip transportation to and from ExpoCite.

Beyond Quebec City: Half Day at Baie-Saint-Paul

Availability: Friday (10:00 a.m.)

Baie-Saint-Paul, located at the mouth of the Gouffre River on the north shore of the St. Lawrence, is one of the oldest communities in Québec dating back to the mid-17th century.

This half day excursion allows you to explore the cultural capital of Charlevoix, Baie-Saint-Paul, a charming village known for its art galleries, quaint boutiques and restaurants.

The local artisans and locally owned restaurants offer a chance to explore beyond Quebec City.  Spend a couple of hours shopping, exploring and lunch on your own at the many restaurants and cafés.

5 hours | The bus departs at 10:00 a.m. and returns at 3:00 p.m. to ExpoCite.

Parliament Tour (Tour Only, No Lunch Included)

Availability: Thursday (10:00 a.m.)

It’s not often you get a private tour of a government building. However at the Prevost 100th Anniversary Homecoming Rally, we’ve arranged just that!

You’ll be able to go into the Quebec Parliament building, a stunning piece of architecture in itself, and go behind the scenes of Parliament. Hear about the history, both past and present, walk into the chambers, and learn more about Quebec.

This option includes the tour only (no lunch included), allowing you to enjoy lunch on your own in Old Quebec.

1.5 hours (10:00 – 11:30 a.m.) | Bus departs ExpoCite at 9:45 a.m.

NEW TOUR OFFERING

Lunch at Historic Manor at Stunning Montmorency Falls

Availability: Wednesday (12:00 p.m.)

Be sure to join us for lunch at the stunning Montmorency Falls. We will transport everyone to the falls from either your tour stop or Expo Cite.

Enjoy lunch in the historic manor, take a walk overlooking the stunning falls, get a birdseye view from the cable car, and explore the lush grounds.

**Motorcycle Ride conflicts with this luncheon. Bikers will have a separate lunch along their ride.

**Wednesday Nordic Spa appointments conflict with this tour.

Quebec Distillery Tour

Availability: Friday (10:30 a.m.)

For the explorers looking for a unique way to discover Québec City’s flavors: follow your local guide during this one-of-a-king tasting tour.

Learn about the city’s different districts while enjoying various tastings of products made by specialized distilleries and their master brewers. Start your tour by visiting Apikol and try their unique mead made with honey from their urban farm. Follow your guide towards Nano Cinco artisanal brewery and try some of their beers with a charcuterie and cheese pairing.

Finish your visit on a high note at Distillerie Stadaconé with a visit of their facility and a tasting of their products.

Nordic Spa Experience

Culinary Tour of Isle d'Orleans

The Isle d’Orleans is an island located in the Saint Lawrence River a few miles east of Quebec City. This island has become a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of city life but also a thriving agricultural spot focusing on hyper-local, sustainable and fresh products for the region!

We are going to embark on a culinary tour of the island and get a taste of the local flavors ourselves! We will hop on a motorcoach and drive around the island and enjoy the views and quaint little villages that dot the landscape. Along the way we will learn about the history of the island and stop at (3) unique places for you to enjoy a taste of local Quebec flavor.

Quebec City Sightseeing Bus Tour

Availability: Monday (10:00 a.m.), Wednesday (9:30 a.m.)

Experience the beauty of Quebec from the comfort of a Prevost tour charter bus. You’ll be joined by a local historical guide on the bus as you ride through the streets of Old Quebec, the only walled city in North America!

Learn about the history, see the beautiful architecture, and get a feel for what Quebec City has to offer. You will pass by the National Assembly and Parliament Hill, the Battlefields of Abraham, the Citadel, the stunning Chateau Frontenac, Notre-Dame-deQuebec Basilica as well as the Place Royale.

Duration: 2 hours

Monday participants: Lunch will be provided, following tour—likely at Restaurant La Bûche or Restaurant/Pub D’Orleans in Old Quebec.  Wednesday participants: You are invited to join the lunch at the historic manor at Montmorency Falls.

Culinary Walking Tour in Old Quebec

This historical walking and tasting tour will take you on a journey through Quebec City’s fascinating history along with a seasoned licensed guide.  Discover the taste of Quebec along the way at four hand-selected local restaurants to get a real flavor of the city!

Discover the local’s favorite spots, taste traditional French-Quebec fare, and maybe even expand your palette a little on this fantastic 3-hour tour.  Duration: 3 hours

Prevost Factory Tour

Availability: Tuesday (Ongoing, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.)

The reason why we’re all here – the birthplace of Prevost!

Nestled in a small village about an hour outside of Quebec City is Sainte-Claire, the home of Prevost.100 years ago, Eugene Prevost, a carpenter by trade, saw a need in his community to transport people to and from his little town and provided a solution – his first bus.

Fast-forward 100 years, and we still stand not too far from his original factory!

An anticipated highlight of the 100th Homecoming Rally, join us to see the Prevost factory live in action! See how your beautiful Prevost motorhomes are crafted and created from the ground up.

Lunch is included. We will stop at La Cache a Maxime after the factory tour.

Groups will be running throughout the entire day (approx. 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) so everyone who wants to may participate.

Historical Walking Tour of Old Quebec

Availability: Monday (10:30 a.m.), Tuesday (10:30 a.m.), Wednesday (10:30 a.m.), Thursday (10:30 a.m.)

Follow your guide off the beaten path and you will be charmed by Old Quebec, the only walled city in North America. Walk along the cobblestone streets through 400 years of action-packed history. You will be impressed by this UNESCO World Heritage site filled with charming architecture, historical monuments, and picturesque winding streets.

You’ll encounter some of the iconic landmarks of Quebec like the Chateau Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace, Notre-Dame-de-Quebec Basilica and Place Roya le, the cradle of French civilization in North America.

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant after the tour.

Parliament Tour and Lunch

Availability: Thursday (10:00 a.m.), Friday (10:00 a.m.)

It’s not often you get a private tour of a government building and then enjoy an exquisite lunch in those hallowed halls. However at the Prevost 100th Anniversary Homecoming Rally, we’ve arranged just that!

You’ll be able to go into the Quebec Parliament building, a stunning piece of architecture in itself, and go behind the scenes of Parliament. Hear about the history, both past and present, walk into the chambers, and learn more about Quebec.

Following your tour, you’ll be escorted to La Parlementaire, the stunning cafe inside the government building for a fabulous lunch of local Quebec flavors.

4 hours (10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., lunch provided at noon)

Quebec City from the River

Availability: Monday (10:15 a.m.), Wednesday (9:15 a.m.), Thursday (9:15 a.m.), Thursday (TBD)

Quebec City is divided by the Saint Lawrence River. People on the Levis side of the river claim they have the best view in Quebec…why not see for yourself?! Start off on a guided walking tour from the Chateau Frontenac and ramble down to the historical Lower Town of the city. Then board the ferry across the Saint Lawrence River! Enjoy the ride, take pictures and learn about the historical significance that the River played throughout the history of this French province. You’ll de-board on the Levis side of the river for a short tour and then back on the ship for another sail across the River, and will finish your tour in Lower Town. Lunch will be offered after the tour on Monday. The Wednesday tour will have lunch at Montmorency Falls. Duration: 2 hours | Ferry Crossing information

Historical Tour of Chateau and Afternoon Tea

Availability: Tuesday (10:45 a.m.), Thursday (10:45 a.m.)

We’ve arranged for a special treat, a private Afternoon Tea at the beautiful Chateau Frontenac. Start off with a 1-hour guided tour of the Chateau by a private guide. Then you’ll enjoy afternoon tea complete with a selection of exquisite teas, delicate tea sandwiches, scrumptious scones with Devonshire cream and jams, and an assortment of sweet treats prepared by the executive chef.

Golf Outing

Availability: Thursday (8:30 a.m.)

We have arranged for an outing to the PGA-approved course, Golf La Tempete, for a beautiful golf trip. Since opening, La Tempete has hosted two highly successful international events: the Skins Mondial Telus in 2009 and the PGA Tour Champions in 2014.

Some of golf’s biggest names have played this course. In 2024, the club will inaugurate a second course to complete its expansion to 36 holes.

Presidential Motorcycle Ride

Availability: Wednesday

Join Prevost’s current president Francois Tremblay and prior president Gaetan Bolduc on a motorcycle ride up the Saint Lawrence River to the artsy villages of Baie Saint Paul and Malbaie.  We’ll be enjoying lunch at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu & Casino De Charlevoix on the patio overlooking the St. Lawrence (weather cooperating).  The ride will be led by guides from Premont Harley Davidson in Quebec City.  This ride features a loop around the region of Charlevoix, a beautiful region of Quebec between the mountains and sea with stunning countryside, forests and mountains.

For those that did not bring their bikes but would still like to participate you are welcome to follow the rides along in your vehicles.  Total ride time is about 3 ½ hours with additional time added for stops and lunch.

You will need to bring your own bike, helmet, proof of insurance and license.

Military Walking Tour

Availability: Monday (10:30 a.m.), Wednesday (10:30 a.m.)

The destiny of New France was played out on the Plains of Abraham on September 13, 1759. But the many sieges and battles that took place before and after this turning point in history shaped Quebec’s military heritage.  This heritage remains clearly visible today and is an integral part of the architecture, and even of Quebec’s local culture.

Led by an authentic military figure of the French regime, explore the fortified city starting from the Chateau Frontenac on a circuit that will take you to the Citadelle, the largest British fortress in North America.
